Tolmachevo Airport Served 5 Million Passengers
November 2, Tolmachevo Airport served the five millionth passenger since the beginning of the year, i.e. eight weeks earlier than in 2017. It is to be recalled that last year such record was achieved on December 31.
The dynamic growth of passenger traffic resulted from development of the route network and increase in flight frequency. Currently the airport route network covers more than 95 destinations.
In 2018, S7 Airlines increased number of flights to Saint Petersburg. Aeroflot continued to operate four daily flight to Moscow, Pobeda Airlines increased number of flights to Moscow, Red Wings Airlines continued to operate the flights opened in October of 2017.

Under the regional flight subsidy program, S7 Airlines opened new regional flights to Nadym, Kogalym, Beloyarsky, and NordStar Airlines started new flights to Severo-Yeniseisk.
The existing regional flights increased frequency to such destination as Khanty-Mansyisk, Ekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, Chita, etc. S7 Airlines opened flights to Samara, Kazan, Bratsk from summer.
Number of flights to Krasnodar increased, S7 Airlines opened new flights to Rostov, Azimuth Airlines continued flights to the destination also.
S7 Airlines significantly increased flights to Far East cities — Blagoveshchensk, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski, Magadan. Flights to Yakutia cities —Yakutsk, Mirny, Neryungri also increased.
Positive changes were noted also for the CIS destinations. Flights to Karaganda opened in 2017 continued this year. Air Astana continued the daily flight to Astana, S7 Airlines opened flights to Pavlodar from June, increased flights to Erevan, Baku, Almaty and Tbilisi. Uzbekistan Airways increased flights to Tashkent. For the summer period, S7 Airlines operated new flights to Minsk.
The milestone event for International routes was opening of direct regular flights from Novosibirsk to Tokyo by S7 Airlines as well as prolongation of regular flights to Bangkok. Charter flights to Dalaman and Hammamet were opened by Azur Air, flights to Phu Quoc by Royal Flight continued. Charter flights to Larnaka were added with regular ones operated by S7 Airlines. Flights to Seul, Prague, Dubai, Hong-Kong and Harbin got increased frequency. Available capacity of flights to Antalya increased, including owing to flights of Russia Airlines using B-747 aircraft.
According to the results for 9 months of 2018, growth of transfer passenger traffic was 50% in comparison with the same period of the last year. Significant increase in transfer traffic came due to the implementation of joint project of Tolmachevo Airport and basic carrier, S7 Airlines, for the hub development.

In 2018 Tolmachevo Airport plans to serve about 6 mln passengers.
NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub east of the Urals on the main air routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity of domestic terminal makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, and international terminal capacity is 1,300 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways of ICAO I and II categories.
