Live sets performed by creative teams hosted by NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport are conducted within the series of events dedicated to the Year of Culture in the Novosibirsk region. The Siberian Dixieland was organized in 1988. Since its foundation, the orchestra actively went on tour to the cities and republics of the former USSR and starting from 1991 also abroad (Finland, Estonia, the Netherlands, Germany, China, the USA, Switzerland). Peculiarity of the artistic image of the orchestra is the willing to perform some late compositions of “swing” era along with music of the New-Orleans style. The musicians of the ensemble are individuals among which are such outstanding instrumentalists as the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Sergey Gershenovich (trumpet), the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Gulyj (keyboard, arrangement), Evgeniy Golovanov (saxophone), Vadim Dobryakov (trombone), Denis Kostin (tuba), Vladimir Kirpichev (drums), Ivan Krivtsov (banjo).
