World-Renowned Violist Vadim Repin Performed at Novosibirsk Airport

March 29, 2017, a unique flash mob with the participation of a distinguished Russian musician, world-known violist Vadim Repin was held at NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport.


The flash mob became a kind of a musical meeting of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival organizer and inspirer, our fellow countryman Vadim Repin as well as the event to support educational program of the festival held in Novosibirsk these days.




During the meeting of the passengers who arrived on one of the evening flights from Krasnoyarsk, musicians of the Brilliant Bows creative team, who were among the passengers and the staff of the Cup of Coffee cafe started performing musical compositions on violins. Then the artists of the "Lifestyle" show ballet joined them. The solo of maestro Vadim Repin became the event culmination.




IV International Arts Festival "Trans-Siberian Art Festival", conceived, founded and led by Vadim Repin is being held in Novosibirsk these days. This year it is dedicated to the 80-th anniversary of the Novosibirsk region, whose government has been supporting the forum since its inception. Some of its concerts are coincided with the 80-th anniversary of the Novosibirsk State Philharmonic and the 60-th anniversary of the Novosibirsk State Conservatory.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity of domestic terminal makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, while the international terminal capacity – up to 1300 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways of ICAO I and II Categories. In 2016 passenger traffic of the airport exceeded the mark of 4 million passengers.
