Tolmachevo Airport Ready for Partnership with Siberian Air Transport Enterprises
One of the key priorities of the aviation development working group approved by the Envoy of the President of Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District Sergey Menyaylo will become further growth of subsidized routes from the airports of Siberia. The General Director of JSC Airport Tolmachevo Evgeniy Yankilevich will join the working group according to the Directive of the Envoy.
The group directed by the Deputy Envoy Vadim Golovko includes the heads of the major Siberian Aviation Enterpris-es. “As the largest airport of the Asian part of Russia Tolmachevo is keen on the development of route network and passenger traffic increase. Being the part of the working group under supervision of Russian president Envoy will ena-ble us to coordinate our activity with colleagues from Siberian regions, support each other in reaching strategic purposes together”, noted Evgeniy Yankilevich. “There is a misbelief that neighbouring regional airports have no other way than sharp competition. The experience of Novaport, the managing company of Novosibirsk, Kemerovo and Tomsk airports, proves that it is possible to build effective cooperation between neighbours beneficial for passengers and busi-ness partners. In fact, our shareholder invests in competitors, however, we benefit from it”.
According to Evgeniy Yankilevich the development of air travel between Siberian regions and increase the number of popular Russian and international routes will be the main purposes of the working group under Russian President Envoy supervision, as well as development of route network subsidized by Federal Government and regions. “The common objective for all aviation enterprises operating international flights is introduction of 72-hour visa-free travel for foreign tourists. The corresponding projected law is considered in State Duma and I hope that cooperation with our colleagues will help to facilitate the process”, noted Evgeniy Yankilevich. The General Director of the Airport emphasized that he is ready for co-projects with all professional players of Siberian aviation market.
