Information for passengers: new rules for transportation of liquids and substances in hand baggage

January 11, 2014, in accordance with the government telegram of the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Maxim SOKOLOV, the extra pre-flight security measures came into force.

By the order of the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, when proceeding pre-flight inspection at the airports of the Russian Federation passengers entering the control area are not allowed to carry onboard any items (containers, tubes, etc.) containing liquids including those with less than 100 ml, except for medications, special dietary requirements, baby food including breast milk in reasonable quantities for the duration of the flight subject to their identification. The aforementioned requirements do not apply to the goods purchased in the control area including DUTY FREE shops.

January 9, 2014, Maxim SOKOLOV enacted the Order to work out amendments to pre-flight and post-flight inspection rules as approved by Order of the Ministry of Transport No.104 dated July 25, 2007.

The administration of NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport kindly requests their passengers to observe the new flight safety requirements and strongly advises to proceed for check-in well in advance for eventual extra security inspection. In order to avoid delay, when carrying onboard medication please make sure to provide security officer with the supporting medical certificate proving its necessity during the flight.
