To the President’s New Year festivities from Novosibirsk

December 24, 2013, the children’s delegation of the Siberian Federal District departed with S7 Airlines and Ural airlines from Novosibirsk Tolmachevo airport to Moscow in order to take part in the main national New Year festivities.

Among 93 talented children are those who showed excellent results in study or winners of the school contests, sports tournaments or orphans – all of them attended the national New Year show at the State Kremlin Palace. During the trip the delegation was accompanied by 23 adults including a paediatrician and a police officer.

In Moscow the children took part in the colourful New Year celebration hosted at the State Kremlin Palace, made exciting sightseeing tours through the capital city, enjoyed the concert programme and other entertainment.

In its turn, NOVOSIBIRSK International airport provided all necessary requirements for comfortable and safe services of children in the terminal building to keep holiday spirits high. In order to ease pre-flight procedures, some backup personnel were involved: all pre-flight inspection and check-in procedures were open at the special sections and desks.

The return flight to Novosibirsk was performed on 27th December.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The domestic terminal capacity makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, while the capacity on international flights – up to 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. In 2013 it expects to serve over 3.7 million passengers.
