The first Aurora airlines flight to Novosibirsk
November 16, 2013, Aurora airlines operated its first flight to NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport. Flight IE 5642 on Vladivostok – Khabarovsk – Novosibirsk route arrived in Novosibirsk at 09:10 p.m. Upon disembarkation of passengers and completion of all ground handling procedures, the aircraft took new passengers on board and departed from Novosibirsk on the reverse route (Flight IU 5643).
Since November 23, 2013, flights on Vladivostok – Khabarovsk – Novosibirsk route are operated five times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. On December 9, 2013 flight frequency on the route will be increased by adding a flight on Thursdays and starting from February 3, 2014 the flight will be operated on a daily basis.
Departure time from Vladivostok for Flight IE 5642 is 04:45 p.m., from Khabarovsk – 07:35 p.m., arrival time in Novosibirsk is 09:10 p.m. Departure time from Novosibirsk for Flight IE 5643 is 10:20 p.m., arrival in Khabarovsk at 07:15 a.m. of the following day, arrival time in Vladivostok is 10:00 a.m. (local time applies).
Flights are operated on comfortable Airbus A319-100 aircraft designed for transportation of 116 passengers – 20 in business class and 96 in economy class.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The domestic terminal capacity makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, while the capacity on international flights – up to 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. Aurora airlines was founded in November, 2013 in the Russian Far East on the basis of SAT Airlines and Vladivostok Avia. The main shareholders are Aeroflot airlines and Sakhalin regional government. Base airports are Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Khomutovo) and Vladivostok (Knevichi). The airline provides air services between the cities of the Russian Far East as well as international services to China, South Korea and Japan. In the future, Aurora airlines plans to operate one type fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft family.
