AirBridgeCargo increases flight frequency from Amsterdam to Novosibirsk

October 11, 2013, AirBridgeCargo, the partner of NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport, increased its commercial cargo flight frequency on Amsterdam (the Netherlands) – Novosibirsk route. Boeing 747-400F aircraft arrives to Novosibirsk each Friday and departs to Hong Kong (China) after offloading, handling and refueling procedures.

Up until now,NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport provided handling services for AirBridgeCargo flights from Amsterdam each Tuesday. Following offloading, handling services and refueling, the aircraft would also depart to Chengdu (China).

Launching of new cargo flights was stimulated by the airport’s active policy on airlines’ service improvement. Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport has all the infrastructure and apron equipment necessary to provide handling services for all aircraft types. As a part of the airport, in immediate proximity to Federal Road M51 and the main railway line, it operates a freight terminal with capacity of 50,000 tons of cargo per year, including temporary storage bonded warehouse. Equipment of the cargo complex allows to handle and store any freight type, including those requiring special temperature storage conditions.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest transit air hub in the Asian part of Russia. The airport has two runways and provides handling services of regular cargo flights for Russian and foreign airlines such as AirBridgeCargo, Transaero, Volga-Dnepr, Cargolux, Air China Cargo, Yangtze River Express, Nordic Global Airlinesand others. Capacity of the freight complex Tolmachevo Cargo makes up 50,000 tons per year.In 2013 it expects to handle over 35,000 tons of cargo and mail (+25%).

AirBridgeCargo is the Russian air carrier performing regular flights in the cargo market, being a member of Volga-Dnepr Group. Up-to-date, the airlines’ fleet comprises 12 Boeing747-family aircraft (5 Boeing 747-400ERFs, 3 Boeing 747-400Fs and 4 Boeing 747-8Fs). The company performs scheduled flights from Asia to the major European gateways and USA via Russia. At present its route network includes following destinations in Asia: Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Zhengzhou, Chengdu, Tokyo, Seoul; in Europe – Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Milan, Paris, Zaragoza; in Russia – Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk.
