Victory dedicated to the airport’s anniversary!
July 10, 2013 a friendly football match between the teams of Airport Tolmachevo JSC and S7 Airlines companies on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport was held. At the official opening ceremony the General Director of the airport Evgeniy YANKILEVICH noted the principal role of partnership between the airport and the airline:
- On July 12, 1957 the Tolmachevo United Squadron was established, thus, having initiated our close cooperation. NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport and S7 Airlines collaborate with each other. Although in certain spheres of our activities we have to compete, our companies are always ready to support each other in difficult situations. No doubt, we will become a part of this real sports celebration.
In his turn, the general representative of Novosibirsk airport and S7 Airlines in Central Asia Evgeniy CHERNYSHEV wished both teams the best of luck in their games:
- I would like to thank the authorities of Tolmachevo Airport for the initiative of hosting friendly football match between our companies. I hope this would become our good tradition making our partnership even stronger. I congratulate the airport’s staff with the upcoming anniversary and let the best win!
The airport and air company also officially exchanged with symbolic gifts: Evgeniy YANKILEVICH presented the General agent of S7 Airlines a runway cut piece while Evgeniy CHERNYSHEV handed S7 Airlines brand aircraft model.
The game which gathered fans from both sides was warmly accepted and resulted in a win of Airport Tolmachevo JSC team with a score 7-3. The event was also attended by young athletes, the airport employees’ children.
At the prize ceremony Evgeniy YANKILEVICH noted the high level of sport skills of both teams, congratulated the winners and emphasized that the cup is challenge:
- We hope to host such events on a regular basis and already next year our colleagues from S7 Airlines will get their chance to take the winner’s cup.
