NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport took part in Air Cargo Europe forum

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport participated at the 6th Air Cargo Europe forum held from 4th to 7th June in Munich (Germany).

As a part of the world’s largest air cargo trade show, the exhibition and conference attracted the leading air carriers, logistics companies and airports.

Within the framework of the exhibition, the airport presented its transfer potential and infrastructure capabilities for air cargo handling. NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is an accessible air hub for both technical and commercial landings on the routes connecting Europe with China and South East Asia.

A number of cargo airlines such as Uni-top Airlines (China), China Airlines (Taiwan), Turkish Airlines Cargo (Turkey), Silk Way West Airlines (Azerbaijan), Korean Air Cargo (Republic of Korea) as well as other European and Asian airlines expressed their interest in the performance of flights via NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport. Saudi Arabian Airlines confirmed its interest in extending cooperation with the airport as well as ULS Airlines Cargo announced its plans to resume flights via Novosibirsk.

Besides, the airport delegation conducted negotiations on possible partnership with representatives of various European airports as well as logistics, freight forwarding and fuel companies.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub in the Asian part of Russia. It has two runways. The airport provides handling for regular flights of Russian and foreign cargo airlines such as AirBridgeCargo, Aeroflot, Volga-Dnepr, Cargolux, Air China Cargo, Yangtze River Express and others. The capacity of cargo complex Tolmachevo Cargo is 50,000 tons per year. In 2013 it expects to handle more than 35,000 tons of cargo and mail (+25%).

Air Cargo Europe is held in Munich every two years. In 2013 the forum registered over 2,000 participants from 63 countries. Total exhibition area exceeded 110,000 m2. The trade event attracted more than 53,000 visitors.
