After 9 months of 2012 Tolmachevo shows positive dynamics of growth

According to the results of the first nine months 2012 Novosibirsk International Airport Tolmachevo has handled 2 473 926 passengers that is a 19,8% higher than last year. 

The number of passengers totaled 1 543 083 people (+16,4%) on domestic flights and 930 843 (+25,8%) on international flights.

In January-September, the airport has provided the fulfillment of 13 792 sorties (+7,5%).

In September 2012 passenger traffic at the airport has increased by 14,2% compared to the same period of last year and reached 311 720 people. 189 387 passengers (+9,9%) were served on domestic flights, and 122 323 passengers on international (+21,5%). The number of sorties totaled 1 665 (+4,8%).

20 391 tonnes (+36%) of cargo and mail were handled at the airport for the first nine months of 2012. Cargo flight program at the Tolmachevo airport is performed by such airlines as Aeroflot, AirBridgeCargo, Volga-Dnepr, Air Cargo Germany, Cargolux, and others.

The Novosibirsk Airport (Tolmachevo)is the largest air hub East of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity on domestic flights is 1 800 passengers per hour, on international flights - 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways. According to business plan in 2012 The Tolmachevo Airport plans to serve 3 155 thousand passengers that is 14% higher than in 2011 and handle more than 26,000 tons of cargo and mail that is 28% more than in 2011.
