Tolmachevo perspectives
At The 17th World Route Development Forum in Berlin (Germany) delegation of Novosibirsk airport (Tolmachevo) held talks with new airlines about opening of new routes and prospects for cooperation.
From 2 to 4 October 2011 in Berlin (Germany) hosted The 17th World Route Development Forum, it was attended by delegations of the largest international airports, passenger and cargo airlines. The Forum brought together a record number of participants - more than 2,700 delegates representing 300 airlines and 800 airports, as well as numerous tour operators from around the world.
Delegation of JSC "Airport Tolmachevo" headed by General Director Alexander BORODIN held about 40 meetings with representatives of the largest passenger and cargo airlines: Air Bridge Cargo, Air Berlin, Allitalia, Finnair, Lufthansa, Fly Dubai, Egypt Air, China Eastern Airlines, S7 Airlines , Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines and other carriers. During the negotiations, were reached preliminary agreements on increasing of flights frequency on a number of destinations such as Baku, Beijing, Frankfurt, Prague, Simferopol, Dubai.
Also, the Tolmachevo airport signed an agreement with the world strategic aviation planning leading company - Airport Strategy and Marketing Ltd (ASM). Under the terms of the agreement ASM will develop a strategy for passenger route network development for Novosibirsk Airport (Tolmachevo).
In addition, the Forum hosted a ceremony of awarding the best international and domestic airlines and airports with the authoritative public prize "Golden Chariot", and the Novosibirsk Airport (Tolmachevo) became a winner in nomination "The best airport in Russia 2010". The prize was presented to Alexander BORODIN by Routes vice president Nigel MIZE.
- I am pleased that the airport Tolmachevo won this award - said, Alexander BORODIN after the ceremony. - "Golden Chariot" prize is the recognition of our stable position in the airline industry. This is an honorable and important event for the whole collective of our company, thanks to well-coordinated work of which we were able to achieve such high results. We have worked very productively in 2010 - was put into operation the second runway, we have greatly expanded the fleet of vehicles, have attracted new carriers, we have also implemented a number of important social projects. I think that is why the Tolmachevo airport was allowed to achieve that high recognition.

"Golden Chariot" award, was established in 2005 by the Committee on Energy, Transport and Communication of the State Duma and the Ministry of Transport, it is awarded to managers and teams representing the domestic shipping industry, the transportation services sphere, transportation science and education, and related industries.
JSC "Airport Tolmachevo"became the winner of the "Golden Chariot" in 2005, 2010 and 2011.
