The investment group “Industrial development”, a stakeholder of Tolmachevo airport, decided to invest about $280 million in airport development
Just so much is needed according to preliminary calculation in order to realize a project of the new airport complex in Novosibirsk.
The agreement between the OJSC “Tolmachevo airport”, Administration of Novosibirsk region and investment group “Industrial development” was signed during the presentation of the airport development project Within this project the Investment group will build new passenger terminal of 40,000 square meters with the capacity of 2500 passengers per hour, four-star hotel for 600 guests, two expo centers of 84,000 square meters in total, catering department of 3500 square meters and a cargo terminal.
As Mr. Roman Trotzenko, the President of the group “Industrial development”, says, the land planned for the construction, is being legalized as property at the present moment. The pay-back period, according to his calculation, is about six years. According to Mr. Trotzenko, "Industrial development" had already bought from Siberia airlines several pieces of land and refueling complex under construction in Tolmachevo area. The First Vice-governor of the Novosibirsk region Mr. Vasily Yurchenko reported that “Industrial development” gets a tax remission of 37 million rubles from the region for the whole period of the project realization.
Mr. Vladislav Filev, the General director of Siberia airlines, is satisfied with the decision to build a new terminal as well. He emphasized that with Tolmachevo growth, Siberia airlines will also increase its passenger flow via this airport. New terminal will allow not only to increase traffic flow of transit passengers, but also to attract new airlines, including foreign ones.
As Mr. Chertenkov, the General director of Tolmachevo airport, declared, federal and regional authorities will finish the construction of the second runway in the airport to the year 2008, at the same time with the realization of the construction funded by private investments. Another 1.4 billion rubles are to be invested in the runway construction, says Mr. Gennady Chernov, Deputy head of Rosaviation. Federal budget invested 536 million rubles in the year 2005, while 300 million rubles are planned for the year 2006, but most likely this sum will be increased up to 500 million rubles, notifies Mr. Chernov.
