It is planned to set up an air corridor Hanoi - Beijing - Novosibirsk

Vietnam Airlines has made a request to the Head of Administration of Novosibirsk region and Siberia Airlines to petition for aviation authorities of Russian Federation for granting the right of operation the route: Hanoi - Beijing - Novosibirsk and back during their business visit to Vietnam, taken place from 19 to 25th February, 2006.

During their visit Novosibirsk Region Administration, Tolmachevo airport management and the Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association named after V.P.Tchkalov had a discussionwith the Vietnam deputy minister of transport, the general director of Vietnam civil aviation administration and the head of Vietnam airlines. The questions discussed were concerning the Vietnam Airlines flight operations to Tolmachevo airport of Novosibirsk from the airports of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh and a purchase or a capture in leasing of 4-6 Sukhoi aircrafts.

The return visit of Vietnam airlines representatives with the purpose of more detailed demand studying for air transportations from Novosibirsk and the closest Siberian regions to Vietnam is planned for April-May, 2006.

Tolmachevo airport has expressed its readiness to fulfill the requirements for service of those types of air crafts, on which Vietnam airlines plans to carry out an air transportation and to provide the necessary information on airport readiness to accept the Vietnam airlines aircrafts for airlines experts during their visit to Novosibirsk.

The result of Novosibirsk Region delegation visit to Vietnam was signing the Memorandum of understanding between Novosibirsk Region Administration and Vietnam airlines concerning the organization of a regular air communication between Novosibirsk Region and administrative-territorial formations of Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
