Passenger Day with Air Astana
Today Air Astana, a partner of NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport, has held the "Passenger Day".

The event program included tea table, national dishes from the airline and traditional festive cake from the airport. Passengers were greeted by Air Astana and Tolmachevo airport representatives.

The event was held in the registration area of Section B (international flights) before the check-in of passengers of Flight №218, Novosibirsk – Astana. Two first registered passengers got a surprise, upgrade to business class on the flight and souvenirs from the airline.

"Passenger Day" became a good tradition for Air Astana. Similar events have already been held for passengers of Pulkovo and Sheremetyevo airports.
Air Astana is a partner of NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport from 15 June, 2009, the date of the first flight performed on the route Astana – Novosibirsk – Astana on turboprop aircraft Fokker-50. Delegation of cardiologists and heart surgeons from Meshalkin institute took that first flight from Novosibirsk. As a part of the charity event organized by Air Astana Novosibirsk specialists examined more than 300 children with cardiovascular system diseases and held training seminars for Kazakhstan doctors.

During the period of collaboration the airline has carried about 150 thousand passengers on the route Astana – Novosibirsk – Astana. With the growth of passenger traffic the airline started performing its flights on larger aircraft Embraer E190.

Kazakhstan has close relationship with Russia. The flight performed to Novosibirsk by the national air carrier of the Republic of Kazakhstan helps to develop business, economic and cultural ties between the capital of Kazakhstan and Siberian Federal District.
An opportunity of convenient connection flights via Astana to Istanbul, Dubai, Almaty and other cities of Kazakhstan opens for residents of Novosibirsk and neighboring regions of Siberia.
NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity of domestic terminal makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, while the international terminal capacity – up to 1300 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways of ICAO I and II Categories.
Air Astana is a joint venture of the National welfare fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Samruk-Kazyna" and BAE Systems with respective 51% and 49% shares. Air Astana has started performing regular flights from 15 May, 2002 and at present has a route network that includes more than 60 international and domestic flights performed from hubs located in Almaty and Astana. The airline's fleet consists of 31 Western aircraft Boeing 767-300ER, Boeing 757-200, Airbus A320 and Embraer E190. The airline became the first air carrier among the countries of CIS and Eastern Europe, which was awarded a prestigious 4 star rating of the international agency Skytrax in 2012 and the title of the best airline in Central Asia and India. Both awards were confirmed in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
