Steady Growth of Regional Air Transportation
NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport notes an increase in the number of passengers on regional flights due to the action of government support program for regional passenger transportation. In January - March 2016 in the framework of the Government Resolution №1242 the Novosibirsk Tolmachevo airport served 8987 passengers (+ 164% compared to the same period of 2015) on the subsidized regional routes. Currently, as part of this Resolution government support is provided for flights from Novosibirsk to Abakan, Gorno-Altaisk, Kyzyl, Tyumen, Noyabrsk and Talakan.

Thus, May 3, 2016 NordStar Airlines starts flight operations from Novosibirsk to Noyabrsk with a frequency of twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays on ATR 42 aircraft.
March 14, 2016 Aeroservice and Turukhan Airlines, partner airlines of NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport airline begin to perform flights under a code-sharing agreement on Irkutsk - Abakan - Novosibirsk - Abakan – Irkutsk route. Flights will be operated twice a week on Mondays and Fridays on An-24 aircraft.
Starting from March 27, 2016 KrasAvia introduces convenient connecting flights from Novosibirsk to Gorno-Altaisk and from Novosibirsk to Strezhevoi and Khanty-Mansiysk. Flights will be operated on AN-24 aircraft. Introduction of convenient connections will allow residents of Siberian cities to use the transfer potential of the Novosibirsk airport and get to popular regional holiday destinations and resorts such as the Altai Mountains and Belokurikha with greater convenience.
Starting from May 2, 2016 UTair launches a new direct flight on Novosibirsk - Krasnoyarsk – Novosibirsk route. Flights will be operated daily, except Sundays on ATR 72-500 aircraft in 70 seats configuration. In addition, starting from May 7 and May 8, UTair resumes weekly flights from Novosibirsk to Noyabrsk and from Novosibirsk to Khanty-Mansiysk accordingly.

As a result of government subsidy program on development of air transportation between the Far East and the European part of Russia in the framework of the Government Resolution №1095, the passenger traffic of subsidized categories in the first quarter of 2016 on a route Vladivostok - Novosibirsk showed 42% growth compared to the same period of 2015.
Vladivostok - Novosibirsk route is subsidized year round. From April 1 to the end of October 2016 the subsidy program will be also applied on such destinations as Chita, Magadan, Mirniy, Polyarniy, Khabarovsk, Yakutsk and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity of domestic terminal makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, while the international terminal capacity – up to 1300 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways of ICAO I and II Categories.
